so i had my surgery on monday. joane loden came over and spent the day/night/and day again with our kids (poor joane, i think she's traumitized...;) so we had no worries! anyways, when i woke up, all i could say was my belly button hurt... which it REALLY REALLY DOES still! but anyways, robin stayed with brad and me and was such a big help. but i didn't have any funny things happen... a little dissapointing, brad even brought the camera in hopes that we would catch some great material. but alas, nothing happened other than a low fever and issues with really low blood pressure, and the occasional naseua. i did loose it a bit, but by morning we were doing better (no morphine for me, i've learned my lesson now!) so anyways, i'm just really sore from the insicions ...BUT!!! and this is HUGE, my gallbladder pain is GONE! i love it! i have a few stones that the dr gave me to keep, but he said my gallbladder was packed FULL! so, now it's gone, and sarahbeth and tj are so funny about it. they're not allowed to touch me except for my hand because they can be a little rough without meaning too. and sb will say things like, i don't want a gallbladder, and then tells the story of how mine stopped working because i was eating rocks... hmmm, we'll have to work on that. anyways, i will post pictures soon! thanks friends for all your help and support!

hmmm, possible economic debt solution? i'm in!
So my friend, leigh, posted this from someone she knows. and frankly, i quite agree. although i haven't personally checked/verified all the numbers, it sounds like a good plan to me! (and i'm not really sure where the 85 billion comes in either, but hey, it's still pretty good;)
- Birk Economic Recovery PLan Hi Pals,I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
- Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a 'We Deserve It Dividend'.
- To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bon-a-fide U.S. Citizens 18+.Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up...
- So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a 'We Deserve It Dividend'.Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
- What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.Repay college loans - what a great boost to new gradsPut away money for college - it'll be thereSave in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.Buy a new car - create jobsInvest in the market - capital drives growthPay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improvesEnable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
- Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
- If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
- If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
- As for AIG - liquidate it.Sell off its parts.Let American General go back to being American General.Sell off the real estate.Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom?I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion 'We Deserve It Dividend' more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC.And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.Kindest personal regards,BirkT. What's the Gallbladder's favorite band?
THE ROLLING STONES of course! HAHAHAHAHA.
Have you heard any good gallbladder jokes lately?
here's a few...
- q. What did the liver say after the gallbladder was removed?
You think the gallbladder was painful? Try a little separation anxiety.
...
Or, how about…
Where does the liver go on vacation?a. The Bile River.
Ok, so if you haven't put it together yet, i'm having some issues with me good ole friend, the gallbladder. for the last few weeks i have had bad stomach aches along with not so friendly back aches... didn't think the two were related until a friend pointed it out and mentioned it might be my gall bladder. WELL, she happened to be right, and now, a nice big fat deductible later i am schelduled to have my gall bladder removed october 20th. hip hip hooray right???? i think? we'll see. so i have several really great friends and a terriffic ward to help with the kiddos and such for a couple weeks after. so we shall see how this all turns out. if anyone has any stories and/or advice, i'd say BRING IT ON!
